Refund & Returns Policy
Last updated: 19 June 2026
Every work offered by Tsoko Art Advisory is an original or limited piece of art, individually selected and acquired with intention. For this reason, all sales are final and we do not accept returns or exchanges, and do not offer refunds, for change of mind.
1. All sales are final
Because each artwork is unique and is reserved exclusively for the buyer once an order is confirmed, we are unable to accept returns, offer exchanges or provide refunds where you have simply changed your mind, no longer want the work, or believe you could have bought it elsewhere. Please consider your purchase carefully, and reach out to us before buying if you have any questions about a work — we are glad to share additional photographs, dimensions and condition details.
2. Artworks that arrive damaged or are not as described
Your statutory rights are not affected by the policy above. If your artwork arrives damaged, defective, or materially not as described on the Site, you are entitled to a remedy under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008. In these cases please:
- Contact us at mpumi@tsokoart.com within 48 hours of receiving the work;
- Include clear photographs of the artwork and its packaging, and a description of the issue;
- Retain all original packaging until the matter is resolved.
We will assess the claim and, where it is valid, arrange — at our discretion and at no cost to you — a repair, a replacement (where possible), or a full refund of the purchase price. Works returned to us in connection with a valid claim must be unaltered and in the condition in which they were received.
3. Orders we cancel
If we are unable to fulfil a confirmed order — for example, where a work is found to be no longer available, or where there has been a genuine pricing or description error — we will notify you and refund any amount you have paid in full.
4. How refunds are made
Where a refund is due under this policy, it will be made using the original payment method and processed through our payment provider. Refunds are typically completed within 5 to 10 business days of the refund being approved, though the time for the funds to reflect depends on your bank or card issuer.
5. Custom, commissioned and bespoke works
Commissioned or made-to-order works are produced specifically for you and cannot be returned or refunded except where they arrive damaged or are not as described, as set out above.
