Delivery Policy

Every artwork sold by Tsoko Art Advisory is an original or limited work, and we treat its delivery with the same care as its curation. This policy explains how we package, dispatch and deliver your purchase.

1. Order processing

Orders are processed once payment has cleared in full. We typically prepare and dispatch artworks within 3 to 7 business days of a confirmed order. Some works — particularly larger pieces or those requiring custom crating — may take longer to prepare, and we will keep you informed if so.

2. Packaging and handling

Each artwork is professionally packaged to protect it in transit. Framed and fragile works are wrapped and, where necessary, crated to museum-handling standards. We photograph the condition of each work before dispatch.

3. Delivery within South Africa

We deliver nationwide using reputable couriers and specialist art handlers. Estimated delivery times after dispatch:

  • Major centres (Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban): 2–4 business days
  • Outlying and regional areas: 4–7 business days

Delivery costs are calculated at checkout or quoted on enquiry, based on the size, value and destination of the work. For high-value or oversized pieces we may arrange a dedicated white-glove delivery, and the cost will be confirmed with you before dispatch.

4. Collection

Local collection or hand-delivery in Johannesburg can be arranged by appointment for certain works. Please contact us at mpumi@tsokoart.com if you would prefer to collect your artwork.

5. International delivery

We ship internationally on request. International shipping, insurance, customs duties and import taxes are quoted individually and are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise agreed. Delivery times vary by destination and customs clearance.

6. Tracking and insurance

Once your artwork is dispatched, we will share tracking details where available. All shipments are insured in transit up to their full value until delivery is completed.

7. Receiving your artwork

Please inspect your artwork on delivery. If the packaging or the work appears damaged, note it with the courier where possible and contact us at mpumi@tsokoart.com within 48 hours of delivery, with photographs. This allows us to assist you promptly — see our Refund & Returns Policy for how damaged or incorrect deliveries are handled.

8. Failed or delayed delivery

If a delivery cannot be completed because no one is available to receive it, or because the delivery details provided were incorrect, additional re-delivery charges may apply. While we work only with trusted carriers, we cannot be held responsible for delays caused by the courier, customs, weather or other events beyond our reasonable control.
